Built in 1895, Haus Gutenberg is the oldest house in its area that has been preserved in the spa style. In addition to the hotel on the first floor, there is a bookstore and a newspaper kiosk on the ground floor – in keeping with the name of the house. This was chosen because the first Sylt printing company was located there in the past.
The Gutenberg house has been owned by the Voss family since the early 1970s. The hotel was leased to an operator for many years before Kirsten Vahl Voss took it over himself in 1994. A year later, the hotel was completely renovated and has since been open to all guests with its 29 rooms and 47 beds.

On the day of arrival, your rooms are available from 2 p.m. If you want to arrive after 6 p.m., please let us know in advance, our reception will then remain open until your arrival. On the day of departure you have until 11 a.m. to leave your room – so nothing stands in the way of a leisurely breakfast before departure.

A wonderful day of vacation starts with the right breakfast. In our spacious breakfast rooms you will receive a warm welcome every morning and you will find everything you need to strengthen yourself appropriately for the next day of your holiday. We serve fresh rolls, croissants and fresh bread with a large selection of sausage, cheese, salads, jams and honey. You can also get fresh egg dishes and cereals from us.
